I've included San Diego greats, Gilbert Castellanos and Irving Flores, Hartford greats, the Curtis Brothers as well as latin jazz artists you may know like Poncho Sanchez and Pedrito Martinez. Another episode paying tribute to a Jazz Master that has passed on. Pharoah Sanders, 81, was perhaps the voice on saxophone that most reflected the spirit of John Coltrane. We begin the show with his musical legacy. That is followed by the great husband and wife team of Mike Wofford (piano) and Holly Hofmann (flute), along with bassist Rob Thorsen representing the jazz scene in San Diego. The podcast ends with a collaboration between organist Joey DeFrancesco and The Pharoah.
