A jazz podcast with political undertones. I make a statement with the opening track from Charlie Haden's This is Not America (for DJT). Darcy James Argue's Real Enemies opening track being The Enemy Within sums up my sentiment about one actor in this election year. From their we lighten it up with Dexter, Wynton, Nat and Chick.

This year's Newport Jazz Festival promises to be a great one. We play many of the artists that will be appearing during the 3 day festival (July 29 - 31). You'll hear from some of the 50+ artists that will be performing in this historic jazz festival. I'll be there to report live via social networking (facebook, twitter, instagram), and a review on WWUH in coming weeks. But it is best to experience the festival live. You can get more information and purchase tickets at www.newportjazzfest.org .

Our Miles Davis 90th Birthday tribute show. You will hear Miles' first and second great quintets along with an early recording with Charlie Parker and a sideman date with Cannonball. Then his transition to electronics beginning with explorations with his quintet, to full throttle jazz/rock fusion. We finish with fusion masters John McLaughlin and Weather Report.
