No real theme to this episode, just some music I have been listening to this week. Although I've moved cross country, I still am playing music from our Hartford friends. The first set starts with a reflection of the troubled times we are in. That tune and the next three are all covers of the great songwriting of Paul Simon by various jazz artists. After that, another reflective piece by Hartford area trombonist Steve Davis. Then Chick, who I have been playing a lot frequently and finally a rousing performance from Emmet Cohen with Ron Carter.

MLK Tribute 2020

A podcast episode paying tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. post his observed birthday. Glasper, Hancock, Baerman and McBride are represented honoring this inspirational leader.
