That article was based on a compilation CD that had been produced for Starbucks and curated by Ms. Mitchell. I've interjected a few of my own favorites, keeping with this theme, as well.

No real theme to this episode, just some music I have been listening to this week. Although I've moved cross country, I still am playing music from our Hartford friends. Heard here are Matt Dwonszyk, Dan Liparini and Tony Davis. Also, I love this version of Herbie's Tell Me a Bedtime Story, from trumpeter Takuya Kuroda. Champian Fulton pays homage to Bird, and George Garzone plays Trane.

After that, another reflective piece by Hartford area trombonist Steve Davis. Then Chick, who I have been playing a lot frequently and finally a rousing performance from Emmet Cohen with Ron Carter.
